Sizing Policy

Effective: on publication. Applies to all Lucky Jewellery / 玉意人 orders unless a written agreement says otherwise.

This policy explains how Lucky Jewellery lists, confirms and stands behind the sizing of jewellery, including rings, jadeite bangles, bracelets, necklaces and strands. It covers ready-to-ship pieces as well as items that are made, resized or personalised to a customer-confirmed size.

Every listing states the sizing information that is relevant to the piece — for example ring size (UK), bangle internal diameter (mm), bracelet or necklace length (mm/cm), bead diameter, or pendant dimensions. Where useful we also state band width, thickness, chain gauge, or the internal circumference of a bangle. Photographs are indicative; the written measurements on the listing and any figures we confirm to you in writing take priority over on-screen appearance.

Our published sizing guides — including the International Ring Size Guide and the Jadeite Bangle Size Guide — are educational aids only. International conversion tables (UK / US / EU / CN / HK) round in different ways and can vary between jewellers. Palm-width and fist-circumference methods for bangles are a starting point, not a guarantee. Fit is also affected by band width, finger or wrist shape, knuckle size, temperature, water retention and personal comfort preference.

Because we cannot physically measure you, the customer is responsible for confirming the final size before we cut, set, resize or dispatch a piece. Where a specific measurement is required, please confirm in writing (WhatsApp, email or a signed order form) either:

• the UK ring size, or
• the exact internal diameter, width and thickness in millimetres, or
• the bracelet / necklace length in millimetres or centimetres.

Written confirmed size or millimetre measurement takes priority over any verbal discussion, illustrative photo, or on-screen preview.

• Lucky Jewellery normally lists rings using UK sizing. US, EU, CN and HK equivalents shown in our guides are approximate conversions.
• Wide rings, eternity bands, tension settings and certain carved or high-set designs may fit differently from a plain band of the same nominal size; we normally recommend sizing up half to a full size.
• Not every ring can be safely resized. Full-eternity rings, tension settings, some invisible settings, rings with channel-set stones across the full band, or rings made from certain metals or with heavy stone weight may not be resizable without compromising structure or setting security.
• Where resizing is possible, we will confirm the feasible size range, timing and any fee in writing before starting work.

• Jadeite bangles are rigid natural stone and normally cannot be resized. Choosing the correct internal diameter at the point of order is essential.
• Customers must check the exact internal diameter, width and thickness stated on the listing and compare with a bangle that already fits well, or measure using the palm-width / fist-circumference method in the Jadeite Bangle Size Guide.
• Princess (oval) bangles may require both the long and the short internal diameter. Please confirm both figures with us in writing before order confirmation.
• A bangle that just passes over the widest part of the hand is normally considered a correct fit. Remote sizing guidance is not a guarantee of subjective comfort or of how loose or snug the piece will feel in daily wear.

Bracelet, necklace and strand lengths are measured end-to-end including clasp. Bead diameters and any graduated sizing are listed where relevant. For strung pieces we normally allow a small tolerance because natural beads (jadeite, pearl, agate) are hand-selected and matched by eye.

Ready-to-ship pieces are sold in the size shown on the listing. Standard Returns & Cancellations terms apply. Please review the listed measurements carefully — because these items are not adjusted for you, we cannot exchange them for a different size after purchase unless the listed measurement is incorrect (see section 12).

Products that are made, cut, cast, set or altered to a customer-confirmed size, or otherwise personalised (engraving, custom carving, bespoke setting), are treated as personalised / made-to-order goods. In line with UK consumer law, personalised goods are normally exempt from the standard cancellation right once production begins.

This does not remove your statutory rights for goods that turn out to be faulty, misdescribed, or made to a size other than the one you confirmed in writing (see section 12).

Once you have confirmed a size in writing and we have started production, resizing, setting or personalisation:

• change requests are not guaranteed and are handled case by case;
• if a change is still possible, additional material, labour or lead-time costs may apply and will be quoted in writing before we proceed.

Where a design is technically resizable, we offer post-purchase resizing under our Repair & Aftercare Policy. Charges, timing and eligibility depend on the piece and materials. Some resizing may permanently affect stone security, hallmarking position or structural integrity, and we will explain any such trade-offs in writing before starting work.

If a piece is delivered in a size different from the size you confirmed in writing, or the listed measurement is incorrect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and, where possible, a measurement. Where the error is ours, we will arrange a remake, resize or refund at no cost to you, in line with your statutory rights.

If the confirmed size proves uncomfortable but matches what you confirmed in writing, this is treated as a sizing preference, not a fault; a paid resize or exchange may still be possible under section 11 where the design allows.

Please do not have Lucky Jewellery pieces resized, re-strung, re-set or otherwise altered by a third party. Third-party alterations may affect stone security, hallmarking, valuation and warranty, and will normally void the Repair & Aftercare cover for the affected part of the piece.

Sizing-related returns and cancellations follow our Returns & Cancellations Policy. In summary:

• Ready-to-ship pieces: standard cancellation and return terms apply.
• Made-to-size, resized or personalised pieces: normally non-cancellable once production begins, except where the piece is faulty, misdescribed, or made to the wrong size (section 12).
• Statutory rights are not affected.

We keep the sizing measurements you confirm on your order record so we can support future service, resizing and repeat orders. This information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including your rights in respect of goods that are faulty, not as described, or unfit for their described purpose. Where local law applies to an international order, your local statutory rights are also unaffected.
